Things haven't exactly gone the way the New England Patriots wanted them to in 2024.
After parting ways with head coach and de facto general manager Bill Belichick after 24 seasons, New England promoted Jerod Mayo to head coach and Eliot Wolf to executive vice president of player personnel.
Despite nailing their first-round pick and appearing to find their franchise quarterback in Drake Maye, many are questioning whether Mayo and/or Wolf will return for a second year.
The coach has received some backing from a few of his players in recent weeks, and that continued on Wednesday, when running back Antonio Gibson went to bat for his coach.
