Patriots veteran cornerback speaks on the state of the locker room after 2-7 start

The New England Patriots haven't played their best football through the first nine games of Jerod Mayo's tenure as head coach, as their overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday dropped them to 2-7 on the year.

When a team struggles it wouldn't be surprising to see some fractures in the locker room and players checking out early during the week.

However, that doesn't seem to be the case in New England, according to veteran cornerback Jonathan Jones.

“Surprisingly I would say, especially in the NFL, this is a close locker room still," Jones said on WEEI.
