FOXBORO -- And then there were five.

Banners, that is.

The Patriots unveiled the fifth Super Bowl banner of the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era tonight in a ceremony before their opening night matchup against the Chiefs.

Injured receiver Julian Edelman was a surprise visitor for the ceremony. The Patriots honored their four previous Super Bowl teams, and had a representative from each carry the Lombardi Trophy beneath giant inflatable replicas of each.

Matt Light, Kevin Faulk and Deion Branch represented the first three Super Bowl squads. And then Edelman, hobbled by his injured knee, appeared with the trophy from Super Bowl XLIV.
