The New England Patriots have just one game left in their 2024 regular season schedule, as they'll take on the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.

However, before the matchup, New England decided to waive veteran defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, making him a free agent.

The Patriots originally claimed Ngakoue off of waivers early in November after the Baltimore Ravens waived him. He played 39% of New England's defensive snaps over the last six games, recording just nine total tackles and two quarterback hits.

In their Week 17 battle with the Los Angeles Chargers, Ngakoue was called for an impactful roughing-the-passer that was completely avoidable and really hurt their defense.
