Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski collects championship ring then throws passes to kids

WOBURN — Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was an oversized child among the boys and girls at his annual Citi Football Clinic yesterday morning at Connolly Memorial Stadium.

The genial giant mingled with the various age groupings on the Woburn High School football field. Gronkowski played catch and provided pointers to the hundreds of participants, ranging from grades 1 through 8.

Gronk’s outsized personality was infectious for the coaches and players on the gridiron and the parents who ringed the sidelines. He took great joy coaching up the youngsters who represent the future of scholastic football in Massachusetts.
