FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Wide receiver Mike Williams, a 2010 fourth-round draft choice of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who didn't play in 2015 but is trying to make a comeback, worked out for the New England Patriots on Wednesday.
The workout, first reported by Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, was one of a handful the Patriots conducted. With some skill-position players in town, the team also had quarterback Ricky Stanzi in to throw to them.
Former New York Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland, as Volin noted, was among the players confirmed to have worked out.
