FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots continue to explore various free-agent options, hosting former Green Bay Packers linebacker Andy Mulumba for a workout at Gillette Stadium on Thursday. After the visit, Mulumba flew to Kansas City for a workout with the Chiefs.
Mulumba's visit was initially reported by Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, who in his report provides great detail on Mulumba's time with Green Bay and the unique situation currently with his citizenship.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Mulumba might have caught the Patriots' eye in the preseason opener last year when he started in the Packers' 22-11 victory over New England, playing 16 snaps, and recording a half-sack to go along with three tackles.
