New England Patriots SS Jordan Richards received one of the highest awards in the franchise community, becoming the 15th player to win the Ron Burton Community Service Award. The award is named after Ron Burton, the first draft pick in franchise history and father of longtime Patriots reporter Steve Burton.
“Every Patriots player has an opportunity to make a positive impact in our community,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said while presenting the award. “Jordan has made the most of his opportunities. In his two seasons with the team, he has made dozens of community appearances, volunteering time and resources to support many of our team initiatives.
