Patriots Sign Punter Ryan Allen to Three-Year Extension

According to his agent, and reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter, New England Patriots punter Ryan Allen has signed a three-year extension, keeping him with the team through 2018.

Allen is entering his third season with the Patriots and he's provided New England with some quality punting, especially on the receiving end of some shaky long snapping.

The Patriots have made a point of solidifying their special teams over the past year. Special teamer Matthew Slater signed a two-year extension in November, while Bill Belichick selected long snapper Joe Cardona in the 5th round of this past NFL Draft.
