Safety was one of the strongest position groups for the Patriots last season, and they’re now adding some more depth to it for next year.
New England has agree to a deal with former Falcons and Chargers safety Jaylinn Hawkins, the team announced Thursday afternoon.
Hawkins, who entered the league as a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, started 16 games for the Falcons in 2022. He recorded 84 tackles that season, along with a pair of interceptions.
He played in six games with no starts for the Falcons in 2023 before being released.
