Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers acquitted of domestic violence charges

New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers stood trial in Quincy District Court on Thursday and Friday on three charges of domestic violence. He was acquitted of all three, according to a report by Charlie McKenna of MassLive.

Peppers, 29, was arrested by Braintree police in the morning hours of Oct. 5. He was subsequently charged with assault and battery on an intimate partner, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation, and possession of a Class B drug.

He was released on $2,500 bail, with a jury trial eventually set for this week.
