Sony Michel was drafted in the first round in 2018 because the Patriots needed instant help at running back. The Pats decided to move on from Dion Lewis and Mike Gillislee and Michel immediately contributed with 931 rushing yards and six touchdowns in the regular season. He then added 336 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns in the playoffs en route to a Super Bowl win over the Los Angeles Rams.
Fast forward three seasons and the team's running back depth chart looks plenty different.
