The Patriots didn’t trade K.J. Osborn before Tuesday’s deadline, but that doesn’t mean he’s long for New England.
The Patriots reportedly received calls on the veteran wideout, playing on an expiring contract. But New England either didn’t receive a satisfactory trade package, or opted against dealing Osborn for a late-round draft pick.
Boston Sports Journal’s Mike Giardi on Wednesday dropped an interesting nugget about Osborn. It surfaced after Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo told reporters that seven receivers remain on the roster “right now.”
” … On that front, spoke to a pair of league sources who believed there was no movement there because the belief is Osborn wants out (and) will eventually get his wish,” Giardi posted on X.
