If the New England Patriots and Mac Jones are headed for a separation this offseason, neither side is likely to be too upset about it.
Per The Athletic's Chad Graff and Jeff Howe, people around the NFL view a Jones trade as a "mutually beneficial move" for the quarterback and organization.
Jones has had a whirlwind run with the Patriots since being selected with the No. 15 pick in the 2021 draft. He had a promising rookie campaign with 3,801 passing yards and 22 touchdowns to help New England make the playoffs with a 10-7 record.
