Patriots rookie wide receiver was involved in 'bad car accident'

The New England Patriots were without wide receiver Javon Baker for their Week 15 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, as the rookie was in the league's concussion protocol.

While New England was off the week prior, there were questions about when Baker suffered the injury, and head coach Jerod Mayo refused to comment on it during the week.

On Wednesday, Baker told The Boston Herald that he was in a "bad car accident."

“I was blessed that I walked out with a concussion,” Baker said.

The Patriots selected Baker in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft after he played collegiately at Alabama and UCF.
