PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WPRI) — New England Patriots rookie Caedan Williams is teaming up with Boys Town New England for the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign.
The offensive tackle unveiled his custom footwear in Portsmouth yesterday at one of the family homes on Boys Town New England’s Bazarsky Campus in Portsmouth.
His cleats were designed and hand-painted by students at the organization’s Nebraska headquarters.
Aside from the various colors, the words “Teach Love,” “Foster Care,” “Compete with Character,” “Saving Children, Healing Families,” and the iconic Boys Town phrase, “He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother,” which originated with the founder of Boys Town, Father Flanagan.
