Two free agents stopped by Gillette Stadium to end the week.
The New England Patriots had tight ends Irv Smith Jr. and Zaire Mitchell-Paden in for workouts on Friday, as shared by ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
Smith, 26, was released by the Kansas City Chiefs at the NFL’s roster deadline in August after signing in March. The past national champion out of Alabama entered the league in the second round of the 2019 draft at No. 50 overall. He spent four campaigns with the Minnesota Vikings before departing for the Cincinnati Bengals on a one-year deal in 2023.
