The Patriots are sending quarterback Joe Milton and a seventh-round draft pick to the Cowboys in exchange for a fifth-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Milton’s start in New England’s season-finale win against Buffalo was his only appearance of the season. He went 22-for-29 for 241 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions.
It was an opportunity for Milton to showcase his skills, and he succeeded in drawing trade interest from multiple teams. The Patriots are set with Drake Maye as their starting quarterback, and they signed Josh Dobbs as a reserve during the offseason.
