The Patriots reportedly have a new top dog in their front office.
Eliot Wolf “will be in charge of the personnel department, with control of the 53-man roster, working closely with [head coach] Jerod Mayo, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
After years of Bill Belichick serving as the team’s de-facto GM, Rapoport noted that Wolf will run a collaborative partnership alongside new hire Alonzo Highsmith (senior personnel executive), Matt Groh (director of player personnel), and Patrick Stewart (senior personnel adviser).
Rapoport added that Groh will mostly handle college scouting as part of this front-office reshuffle.
