Patriots reportedly signing former first-round pick offensive tackle

The New England Patriots are reportedly expected to sign 11-year veteran offensive tackle Riley Reiff to a deal, according to ESPN’s Dianna Russini.

It’s one of two outside signings in free agency so far for the Patriots, who also signed offensive tackle Calvin Anderson to a deal on Tuesday. The team is obviously looking to beef up their offensive line depth, and adding a veteran player like Reiff with starting experience is exactly the sort of move to help them do it.

Reiff, a former Chicago Bear, was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft by the Detroit Lions.
