The Patriots reportedly have their new No. 1 wide receiver.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Patriots have signed veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs to a three-year, $69 million contract — with $26 million guaranteed.
The move gives Drake Maye and a Patriots offense short of proven playmakers an established veteran with a lofty resume — although there are a few concerns about Diggs’ health at this stage of his career.
Diggs, who will turn 32 in November, has held court as one of the most dynamic pass-catchers in the league over the last few years — posting six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with the Vikings and Bills from 2018-23.
