Patriots reportedly sign LB Robert Spillane to 3-year contract

The Patriots are reportedly bolstering their linebacker corps with another player who has ties to Mike Vrabel.

Just a day after New England reportedly signed outside linebacker Harold Landry to a three-year contract, the Patriots are reportedly signing fellow veteran linebacker Robert Spillane to a 3-year, $37.5 million deal — per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Spillane, much like Landry, is a former Titans player when Vrabel was in place as the team’s head coach. Spillane served as a practice squad player in Tennessee during the 2018 season.

But after spending four seasons with the Steelers in more of a reserve role, Spillane developed into a standout linebacker over the past two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders.
