The Patriots appear set to fill one more vacancy on Jerod Mayo’s coaching staff.
Jeremy Springer will become New England’s special teams coach, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.
Springer, who turns 35 in February, worked as the Rams’ assistant special teams coach in 2023. He has two years of NFL experience working on Sean McVay’s staff in Los Angeles.
Prior to that, Springer spent eight seasons coaching at the collegiate level, including stints with Marshall, Arizona, and Texas A&M.
He’s the latest to be tapped to join Mayo in New England.
