Patriots reportedly reach two-year extension with defensive tackle Davon Godchaux

For Davon Godchaux, the contract year has ended one week into training camp.

The New England Patriots have reached agreement with the veteran defensive tackle on a two-year extension that includes $16.5 million guaranteed, as first reported Wednesday by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The maximum value of the pact checks in at $21 million.

Another extension in New England: Patriots and standout DT Davon Godchaux reached agreement on a two-year extension worth up to $21 million that includes $16.5 million guaranteed. The Deal was negotiated by Drew Rosenhaus, Jason Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha.
