A recent Calgary Stampeder paid the New England Patriots a visit on Wednesday.
According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, New England worked out free-agent cornerback Tre Roberson.
Roberson, a Canadian Football League All-Star, had been released by the Stampeders at the start of January in order to pursue NFL opportunities. Workouts with the San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Chargers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts have followed since then, per 590 The Fan’s Howard Balzer.
Calgary’s nominee for the league’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player honor, Roberson finished the 2019 campaign with seven interceptions and 12 deflections.
