Patriots reportedly agree to deal with Pro Bowl edge rusher

The New England Patriots kick-started the free agency blitz on Sunday by reportedly agreeing in principle on a deal with former Pro Bowl linebacker Harold Landry III.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported the contract will be a three-year deal for $46.5 million with $26 million in guaranteed money.

The Tennessee Titans agreed to allow Landry to seek a trade back in February, and it seemed likely from the very beginning that the Patriots would show interest. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel was the head coach for the Titans when the team selected the veteran defender in the second round of the 2018 NFL draft.
