Patriots reopen facility 1 day after positive COVID-19 test; Broncos game still on (report)

The New England Patriots are reportedly back in the building Saturday, one day after a fifth player tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the Boston Globe’s Jim McBride, the Patriots are allowing players back at Gillette Stadium Saturday and will hold a walkthrough ahead of Sunday’s game. However, that will reportedly be it for in-person activities as the team will continue to hold virtual meetings.

The Patriots got their latest coronavirus scare Friday when the team suddenly canceled practice after offensive lineman James Ferentz tested positive. Ferentz has since been placed on the league’s Reserve/COVID-19 list.
