Jabrill Peppers may be back in the lineup for the New England Patriots on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, but his role appears to have changed following his eight-game absence.
A first look at him in his red throwback jersey during warmups revealed that he is no longer wearing the “C” patch indicating his status as a team captain. Peppers was one of six original captains named by the team ahead of the regular season, but appears to have been demoted following an arrest in October and subsequent stint on the NFL’s commissioner exempt list.
