The New England Patriots have waived wide receiver Chris Harper to open up a roster spot. The preseason standout flashed a lot of talent, but also showed that he has a ways to go before he's ready to win at the NFL level. The Patriots are likely to try and bring Harper back on the practice squad, unless another team claims Harper on waivers.
The Patriots were reported to have interest in signing fullback Joey Iosefa to replace the injured James Develin, so this is a very possible corresponding transaction.
