The New England Patriots haven't done the best job of surrounding their quarterbacks (Jacoby Brissett and Drake Maye) with capable wide receivers to throw to, and one of the biggest failures was the addition of K.J. Osborn.
On Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Patriots are releasing Osborn just 13 games into the season.
Osborn, 27, played collegiately at Buffalo (2015-18) and Miami (2019) before the Minnesota Vikings selected him in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft.
After four seasons in Minnesota, Osborn signed a one-year, $4 million deal with New England.
