The New England Patriots released offensive lineman Jason King on Thursday according to a team release. The Patriots signed King as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue after the 2017 NFL Draft; King spent his rookie season on the practice squads of the Patriots and Baltimore Ravens.
The Patriots signed King to a futures contract for the 2018 season, but are apparently happy with their depth at the position, despite left guard Joe Thuney requiring foot surgery that will sideline him for the coming weeks.
