A busy day continues...
The New England Patriots had a pretty busy day today. First, it was announced that the team released cornerback Chimdi Chekwa, who had signed with the team in March. The vacant roster spot Chekwa's release created was quickly filled by free agent linebacker and former Patriot Brandon Spikes.
The Patriots were not done making moves, though. According to an official team release, New England has also parted ways with two more players: linebacker Cameron Gordon and wide receiver Devin Gardner.
The 23-year old Gordon signed with the Patriots in May 2014, after the former Michigan Wolverine went undrafted.
