The New England Patriots released four players on Friday afternoon, per an announcement made by the team.
Linebacker Curtis Jacobs, offensive tackle Caleb Jones, linebacker Andrew Parker Jr. and center Lecitus Smith were all released.
Jacobs played in nine games last season and started in two of them. He had one tackle and three special teams tackles, before ultimately ending his season on injured reserve last November.
Jones was most recently released by the Green Bay Packers back in August. He signed a futures contract with New England in January.
