After two weeks of the regular season, Tyrone Wheatley’s stint on injured reserve has come to an end.
The New England Patriots reached an injury settlement with the offensive tackle on Monday, according to the NFL transaction wire, waiving him from injured reserve.
Wheatley, 27, had been let go with the injury designation amid training camp in August. He subsequently reverted to injured reserve in Foxborough after going unclaimed. Ahead is the opportunity to take the field again in 2024.
The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Wheatley was acquired from Cleveland Browns in exchange for running back Pierre Strong Jr.
