We’re a bit late on this, but according to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Patriots have re-hired offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia.
Good news? Great news.
Scarnecchia was an absolute genius coaching the offensive line for the Patriots for a whopping 30 season before retiring after the 2013 season. And after New England’s disappointing finish in Denver (particularly up front), bringing Scarnecchia back shows Bill Belichick knows he has to do something to get this offensive line back on track.
Having said that, I don’t think the Patriots’ line is in as much disrepair as a lot of people make it out to be.
