New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has set dozens of NFL records over the course of his illustrious career in the league. Today during his team’s 31-17 win over the visiting Green Bay Packers, the consensus greatest quarterback of all time set another all-time mark: the 41-year old is now the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for more than 80,000 total yards in a career.
Brady set the new record in the early fourth quarter after the Patriots recovered a Packers fumble. A 17-yard pass to Phillip Dorsett on a 3rd and 7 put Brady ahead of long-time rival and fellow future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning on the combined passing yards list for regular season and playoffs.
