New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett gave an update on his shoulder injury during an appearance on the "WEEI Afternoon Show" on Tuesday.
The quarterback took a scary hit in Sunday’s preseason finale against the Washington Commanders. He left the game after the first drive after sustaining a right shoulder injury. He went 2-of-4 passing for 19 yards before exiting.
Rookie Drake Maye came into the game and played the bulk of the second half.
It appears that Brissett was fortunate enough to avoid a major injury. He said his shoulder was "good" with the Patriots' regular season opener less than two weeks away.
