New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye has donated $10,000 to the Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services, as first reported by Mike Reiss of ESPN. The money was donated specifically to help with relief efforts in Maye’s native North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
“We have witnessed entire communities destroyed and the lives of thousands upended,” Jeff Jellets, Territorial Disaster Coordinator for Salvation Army’s Southern territory, told Reiss. “Having these additional resources for the current response is a blessing that allows [us] to continue to serve, and look toward ways to help the recovery process progress.
