New England Patriots quarterbacks coach T.C. McCartney sees a lot of potential in Drake Maye as the 2024 season draws to a close.
In only his first season, McCartney thinks the rookie quarterback might already be the smartest person in the building.
“I think his development happened very quickly. We knew he was sharp. We knew he was sharp, but I think he may be the smartest person in this building,” McCartney said, per MassLive’s Mark Daniels. “He really might be. He’s a super-fast processor. Maybe that has surprised me a little bit - just how quickly he picks things up, understands things.
