While the NFL may already have an inadvertent history of using artificial crowd noise in years past, the 2020 season could see its “legal” usage for the first time as most teams open with no fans in attendance during the month of September.

During practice on Tuesday, the New England Patriots pumped some crowd noise onto the Gillette Stadium practice fields in an effort to prepare the players.
