Yesterday it was announced that Leonardo Hankerson would be released. The vacant has been filled by Chris Haprer, who has been with the team all season on the 53 and the practice squad. Harper is probably best known for the muffed punt that led to Denver erasing a 14 point deficit and winning in OT. With Danny Amendola and Brandon LaFell's status up in the air, the Patriots need someone with better knowledge of the play book than Hankerson. If Amendola is unable to go, Harper likely replaces him in the slot while Keshawn Marain handles punt return duties.
