JuJu Smith-Schuster’s 2023 has reached its end before New Year’s Eve.
The New England Patriots placed the wide receiver on injured reserve and signed safety Joshuah Bledsoe to the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday’s Buffalo Bills matchup.
Smith-Schuster, 27, had been ruled out on the final injury report after going from limited to sidelined for consecutive practices. He last played on Dec. 7 due to an ankle injury, and will now see his first Patriots campaign conclude with 29 receptions for 260 yards and one touchdown across 11 appearances. The former Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowler and Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl champion out of USC reached a three-year contract as free agency opened.
