In the wake of losing director of player personnel Nick Caserio, who left for Houston, the Patriots are revamping their front office and scouting department.
That was evident during the 2021 NFL Draft. The Patriots had a select few members of the franchise in their draft room. Prior to selecting Mac Jones at No. 15, head coach Bill Belichick could be seen asking Dave Ziegler, Eliot Wolf and Matt Groh if they were “good” with the selection. That video clip, posted by the Patriots on social media, was noteworthy. In year’s past, Caserio was the guy who ran the draft room with Belichick.
