The Patriots made themselves right at home in Mexico City.
Forget the unfamiliar high altitude. Forget playing a “road” game in front of hostile fans. Forget playing the second game of a 10-day road trip.
The Patriots used the high air to their benefit, had thousands of fans cheering for them and finished their long trip to Denver and Mexico with a second straight win.
“It was just a fiesta all over the field, man,” Rob Gronkowski said after wrapping up a 33-8 win over the Raiders.
The Patriots had high praise for the Mexico City experience and the local fans who they said welcomed them warmly.
