Now it’s time for the payoff of the Jamie Collins trade.
The NFL awarded the Browns a third-round draft pick when it doled out compensation picks today, and that pick — the 103rd overall — is now set to swing to the Patriots as part of the deal that sent Collins to Cleveland at midseason last year.
The NFL also awarded a fifth-round compensation pick, the 185th overall, to the Patriots.
Collins was traded for a conditional fourth-rounder that was set to jump up into a third-rounder if the Browns received a compensatory pick in that round.
