Jabrill Peppers is back on the field for the New England Patriots. But it doesn’t appear that he’ll be doing so as a captain.
The veteran safety was active for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, his first on-field appearance since being activated from the Commissioner’s Exempt list.
But there was something missing from Peppers' jersey: The “C” patch designating him as a captain. Other team captains -- such as Hunter Henry, Kyle Dugger Deatrich Wise, Jacoby Brissett and Joe Cardona -- had their patches on as they normally would.
