FOXBORO, Mass. — New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Javon Baker has showed out during the last two training camp practices.
Baker connected with Jacoby Brissett during a competitive 1-on-1 period at Gillette Stadium on Sunday. It was the first time in training camp the Patriots held the 1-on-1 portion, which proved to be a fan-favorite for those in attendance.
Baker beat depth cornerback Mikey Victor off the line and showcased his speed on a fade route down the sideline. While Baker blew past Victor, it was no easy snag. Baker was forced to make a late adjustment with the ball in the air and ultimately had it fall into his hands for a reception reminiscent of Willie Mays.
