One of the New England Patriots’ planes will again be repurposed for a charitable endeavor. According to a report by CBS Boston, the plane will fly to Haiti on Saturday to help deliver supplies and medical equipment after a devastating earthquake hit the country last week.
The 7.2-magnitude earthquake killed more than 2,000 people and left over 12,000 hospitalized. The belief is that more than 600,000 people are in need of humanitarian help.
When not used by the Patriots, the Boeing 767 is leased for chartered flights by Eastern Airlines. The team itself is also using it for good on a somewhat regular basis.
