While several of their former players are still in the race for enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2025, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is not.
According to a report by ESPN, the Hall of Fame contributor committee has decided not to elevate Kraft to the final round of voting. This marks the 13th year in a row his candidacy has failed to advance past the committee stage.
Instead, the nine-member panel voted for NFL co-founder Ralph Hay to make it to the next round. The case for or against Hay, who owned the Canton Bulldogs from 1918 to 1922 and died in 1944, will now be discussed by the entire 50-people Hall of Fame voters group.
