Patriots optimistic about what Rob Gronkowski's MRI will reveal

DENVER — The Patriots left Colorado optimistic that the knee injury suffered by Rob Gronkowski in Sunday’s game might not be too serious.

Gronkowski and the team are hopeful about today's scheduled MRI, according to a source with knowledge of last night's initial tests.

The tight end left the game in the fourth quarter after suffering a blow to his knee. He went for tests inside the stadium and then walked to the locker room.

This, along with the way Gronkowski looked in the locker room after the game - when he was walking but did not speak with reporters - all yields the potential for good news for the Patriots.
